Patricia E. (Sullivan) Wheeler, 73 of Auburn passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home after an extended illness, early Wednesday morning November 26,2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born and raised in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edward and Loretto (Fink) Sullivan.
She met her beloved husband Paul, through their business endeavors, which ultimately brought their love together to Auburn. They were married May 9,1992 and sold electric motors together for many years, both retiring in 2018. ‘Tricia’ as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was an avid Notre Dame football fan and strong follower of Bruce Springsteen’s music. She also enjoyed many different games and especially loved playing cards. She will be greatly missed and held tightly in the hearts of those that loved her.
In addition to Paul, Tricia is survived by her loving daughter, Faith Young, siblings Steven (Sandy) Sullivan, Loretto Mooney, Chris (John) Curran, Michael (Kathy) Sullivan, John (Cheryl) Sullivan, stepson Christopher Wheeler, two cherished grandsons Zachery and Colin McGriff, several nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends , Terry of Indiana and Kim of New York.
In addition to her parents, Tricia was also predeceased by a stepdaughter Nancy Wheeler, with whom she was especially close too.
A calling hour will be held this Thursday, December 4th from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm with a service to immediately follow at 2:30 pm, all inside of Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. A celebration of Tricia’s life will be held at the American Legion, on State St., in Auburn immediately following the services at the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Perry, NY at the convenience of the family.
