Phyllis M. (Vinciguerra) Milillo, 96 a lifelong resident of Auburn passed away peacefully Friday May 9,2025 at Auburn Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina (Parino) Vinciguerra. Phyllis graduated from Central High School, Class of 1947. She was a longtime communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of their Sacred Heart Society and was very active in numerous activities and events at the parish throughout the years. She was very devout to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Phyllis previously worked for the former Procino & Rossi Macaroni Company and more recently at the former Big Store in Auburn. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, the lottery, and taking a more than occasional trip to one of our local casinos. She loved and cherished her family above everything. Her beautiful smile and quick wit will never be duplicated or ever forgotten by all of the special people that were in her and her family’s lives.
She is survived by her loving husband , Michael D. Milillo, with whom, would have celebrated their 75 wedding anniversary on July 4th. Their three children, twins Michael (Janice) Milillo of Colorado and Mary Ann (Felix) Mucedola of Auburn, and Phyllis (Thomas)Lisano of Auburn, grandchildren, Joshua (Chelsey)and Laura Milillo, Tia(Aaron)Howe, Felix(Domenica)and girls Alessandra and Natalia, Michael, Frank Mucedola, great grandchild Lucas and Connor,Carson,and Kendall, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by an infant son Raymond, sisters Domenica Masotto, Jane Cullen and Rose Giordano.
A special thank you to the excellent care that has been shown to both Phyllis and Mike, allowing them to be in the comfort of their home all these years, with love to , Linda and Joe Sliwka, Sanom Potter, Lou David, Anne Marie Green,Stephanie Coleman, Barbara Gilmore and Shane who took meticulous care of the lawn.
A calling hour will be held Friday, May 16th from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, followed immediately by her Mass of Christian burial, all inside of St. Francis of Assisi Church, 299 Clark St.,Auburn, NY 13021. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
