Robert Al Blim, 84 of Auburn passed away peacefully, Saturday May 10, 2024, at The Commons on Saint Anthony.
He was born in Elmira, the son of the late Fred and Mary (Fuller) Blim and had been an area resident for most of his life. Robert retired from the US Army as a drill sergeant during the Korean War. Bob spent more than 38 years as a corrections officer for the Auburn Correctional Facility. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and birdwatching. Bob cherished the many special times that he was fortunate enough to have with his family and friends.
He is survived by his three children, Roxanne Chase, Kurt Blim and his fiancé Kristy Smith, Kraig Blim and his wife Sara, six grandchildren, Brandon Chase, Brittany Miller, Brooke Carroll, twins Marah and Victoria Garcia, Laurenza Blim, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Bob was also predeceased by a grandson Griffin Blim and 12 siblings.
As were Bob's wishes, there are no services.
