Robert M. Villano Jr.,49 of Auburn passed away unexpectedly after an apparent heart attack early Friday morning, August 29,2025 at Auburn Community Hospital , with his loving family at his side.
He was a lifelong resident of Auburn, the son of Marilyn (Walker) Villano and Robert M. Villano Sr. Bob was currently employed by Cypher Services LLC in Auburn. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed, hunting ,fishing and golfing. Bob also loved cooking and grilling for his family and friends and cherished all the special times with each and every one of them. His chocolate filled cookies around Christmas time will be greatly missed and hardly ever duplicated. He was a New York Yankees and Seattle Seahawks sports fan. He will be forever missed and eternally loved by his many friends and family that adored him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary (Sheffey) Villano, his mother Marilyn Villano, two children, Robert (Mackenzie ) Villano III, Kyle (Desiray) Villano, a beloved granddaughter Cecilia Villano, two sisters Melissa Steger (Josh), Patricia Villano (Jason), his father Robert (Sharon) Villano Sr., two brothers-in-law Tom Sheffey, Mike Massaro, sister-in-law Judy Coll as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, many good friends, especially very close friends Brian Garropy and Brian Bodah and beloved canine friend Lacey.
He was predeceased by his sister Michelle Villano Holmes, uncles Mike , Dick, Harv,Bill, aunt Bert, and two brothers-in-law Ken Steger and Rich Sheffey.
Calling hours are this Friday, September 5th from 4 to 6 pm in Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., with services to immediately follow at the funeral home.
