Stacy W. Jakaub

It is with great sadness that our brother, Stacy W. Jakaub has passed on March 13, 2026 due to a recent battle of cancer.

Stacy was born on May 16, 1967 the tenth child of the late Stanley F. and Barbara J. (Sherman) Jakaub.  He was a graduate of Union Springs School.  Prior to his health deteriorating, Stacy was employed at Towpath Machine Shop for more than 40 years.  He was an avid sportsman and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Stacy is survived by his sisters and brothers:  Constance (Richard) Kapcha, Cynthia (Ronald) Deyo, Stanley (Jeanne) Jakaub, Cheryl (Michael) Jensen, Stephen Jakaub, Colleen Henry, Scott Jakaub and Shawn (Renee) Jakaub; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews; his Aunt Joyce Sherman and several cousins.  Stacy is also survived by Bill and Carol Patterson and family who were like his second family.      In addition to his parents, Stacy was predeceased by his sister, Carol Lawton and brother-in-law, Craig Lawton.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Pettigrass Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm with services to follow.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Cayuga.
