Steven S. Green

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected loss of Steven S. Green—aged 58—a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and loyal friend. Steve passed away in his home on May 30, 2025, leaving a deep void in all who knew and loved him.

Born on November 1, 1966, Steve found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A lifelong outdoorsman, he cherished the peace of an early morning fishing trip, the thrill of a good hunt, and the quiet wonder of bird watching. He loved sharing a hearty meal, cheering on the 49ers during Sunday football, and reconnecting with friends—always with classic rock blaring in the background.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Candy Green; his children, Tiffany and Nicholas Green; stepchildren Shanna Cable (Andrew Cable), Ryan Sheehy (Holley Townsend), Chelsea Wilson, and Michael Wilson (Carmina Nichols); his siblings, Gary Green (Joanne Picciano), Doris Chayka (Phil Chayka), Lynne Jones (Fred Jones), Michael Green (Diane Gleason), and Donna Newton (Daniel Newton); his granddaughter, Gracie Manwaring, with whom he shared a special bond; and many other beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan M. O’Hora; his father, Donald R. O’Hora; his nephew, Jeremy Green; and his niece, Jessica Jones.

Steve was truly one of a kind—witty, hilarious, and full of stories that only got funnier (and wilder) with each retelling. He had an uncanny database of random knowledge that somehow always came in handy, and he was the first to lend a hand whenever someone needed help. His memory won’t just live on in quiet reflection, but in belly laughs, inside jokes, and all the crazy, unforgettable moments he left behind.

In accordance with Steve’s wishes, no memorial service will be held at this time. The family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and shared memories as they honor his life in their own personal ways.
