Theodore 'Teddy' Tomandl Obituary

´╗┐Theodore ‘Teddy’ L. Tomandl, 45 of Auburn passed away unexpectedly at his home, Thursday, February 29,2024.
 He was born in Auburn the son of Deacon John Tomandl and the late Lynn ( Panec) Tomandl. Ted or Teddy as he was affectionately known was an Auburn High School graduate, Class of 1996 and received his associate degree from Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts School. He was an outstanding chef, receiving the famed, Cordon Bleu award, for his expertise. Ted worked at various local establishments and formerly owning the Old Erie Restaurant in Weedsport. Teddy was an avid outdoorsman, loving snowmobiling and jet-skiing. He enjoyed working on automobiles, having many different cars or trucks and especially like detailing the vehicles for his family and friends.  Teddy was a dog lover and an avid New York Jets football fan. Above everything, he cherished and loved his children.  He was a very loving, caring and selfless father, who would do just about anything for anybody. A true joy to be around. If you met Teddy once, you never forgot when and where that encounter took place. He will be sadly missed.
 He is survived by his loving four children, son Tate, daughter Avery, twin sons Crew and Theodore.,mother of his children Bethany, parents Deacon John and  Carole Tomandl, two brothers, John Tomandl and his daughter Jenna, Doug and his wife Ann Marie Tomandl and their sons, Aiden,L.T., Carsen, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
 In addition to his mother Lynn, Teddy is also predeceased by a nephew John Michael Tomandl, his grandparents, Betty and John Tomandl, Lorraine and Frank Panec and Marion and Michael Regets.
Calling hours are this Tuesday, March 5th from 4-7 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
Theodore’s Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, March 6th at 10:30 am in Holy Family Church on North St.,Auburn. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s at the convenience of the family.
