Thomas C. Donovan

Thomas C. Donovan, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.
  He was born on October 11, 1950, in Auburn, New York.

  Thomas began his professional life working at New Process Gear, where he developed the strong work ethic that guided him throughout his career. He later became the owner of Owasco Marina, combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his love of the Finger Lakes. In his later years, Thomas transitioned into real estate, where he continued to build relationships and serve his community with integrity and dedication.

Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Ann Donovan; his son, Kevin Austin Donovan; his daughters, Anne Donovan Leader and Jennifer Donovan Fraher. He is also survived by his brothers, John Donovan, Timothy Donovan, and by his cherished grandchildren: Austin Fraher, Ellie Fraher, Jack Leader, and Olivia Leader, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  He was predeceased by his parents, Austin and Rita (O’Connor) Donovan.

Thomas was truly a man of the people. He had a natural ability to connect with others, offering kindness, conversation, and support wherever he went. His warmth, generosity, and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He valued family above all else and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those he loved. He was a lifetime member of the Utopia Club, a place that reflected his love of camaraderie, tradition, and friendship.

Thomas will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his compassion, loyalty, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. "Always and Forever".

  Calling hours are this Saturday, January 17th from 10:00 am until 11:45 am with his Mass of Christian burial to immediately follow at 12:00 pm, all inside of Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Rd., Auburn. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.

  In lieu  flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Matthew House,  48 Metcalf Dr. , Auburn NY 13021.
