Thomas Mastropietro Obituary

Thomas F. Mastropietro, 66, of Port Byron, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 24, 2026.

Born in Auburn, New York, Tom was the son of the late Francis and Regina (Bochenek) Mastropietro. He was a lifelong resident of Central New York, where he built a life surrounded by family, friends, and the simple things that brought him happiness.

Tom found joy in listening to all kinds of music, especially classic rock; casting a fishing line; sharing his lifelong fascination with cars, motorcycles, and racing with his family at the Syracuse Fairgrounds. Whether talking about engines, admiring a classic car, spending time outdoors, or reminiscing about "the old times," Tom appreciated life's simple pleasures. He also had a deep love for animals and found great joy in the companionship of the pets he cared for throughout his life.

Tom is survived by his loving children, his son, Michael Mastropietro (Jessica), and his daughter, Stephanie Mastropietro, and her fiancé, Kyle Milliman; his five siblings, John (Missy) Mastropietro, Duffy Mastropietro, Terry (Mark) White, David (Rosie) Mastropietro, and Carol Mastropietro; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved canine companions, Daisy, Sally, and Feefer, who will remember him with love.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sisters, Linda and Marie Mastropietro.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Tom's memory are invited to make a donation to their local animal shelter—a tribute that reflects the compassion and love he had for animals throughout his life.
