William C. Dougherty

William (Bill) Dougherty, 76 of Auburn, NY passed away on November 15th, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital.
  He was born on September 1st, 1949, in Auburn, NY to the late Richard and Marjorie Dougherty (Howell). Bill was a lifelong resident of Auburn, NY. He graduated from Union Springs School district and later served our country honorably in the Navy. Bill worked as a bartender at several places in the Auburn area. He retired from Welch Allyn as a machine operator with over 30 years of hard work. Bill was an avid Miami Dolphins Fan, he enjoyed golfing, and most of all cooking and barbecuing for his beloved family. He will be dearly missed.

  Bill is survived by his loving wife Nancy Dougherty (Durnack), two sons Sean and Christopher (Stephanie), granddaughter Reagan, siblings Betsy (Kevin) Farrelly, Danny (Diane) Dougherty, Mike Dougherty, Jimmy (Judy) Dougherty and several nieces, nephews and friends. 

  In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by a sister-in-law Jill and nephew Brian Farrelly.

  As the family wishes, services will be private.
